About Us

The missions of the CIC-IT, integrated into Rennes CIC are Innovation and Clinical Research in Health Technologies. It is structured around the LTSI-INSERM U642 lab, the Cardiology and Cardiovascular Disease department, neonatal intensive care and thoracic surgery departements, and industrial leaders.

Our Specializations

The CIC-IT has a renowned know-how in intelligent, communicating implantable cardiac prostheses, as well as in monitoring systems dedicated to pediatrics and anesthesia. Its missions are at the junction between technology and patients. They concern:

Clinical evaluation of innovative technologies: design and coordination of multicentre studies, development of specific methodologies, contribution to clinical recommendation drafting.

Technological Innovation: identification of clinical needs, definition of new concepts, support for the development of device and method prototypes stemming from upstream research, development of new industrial products, Start-up incubation.

Evaluation and innovation missions are carried out in contact with the pioneer partners of the CIC-IT (LivaNova, Biotrial, Ansys, Therenva, …) and through contracts with companies such as Medtronic, Saint Jude Medical, Boston Scientific, Biotronik, ...) or industrialists wanting to develop new areas around health technologies (Neotec Vision, Voxygen, Aznetwork, …).

Monday to Friday from 9 am to 6 pm

By metro: Stop at Pontchaillou (facing the "Centre cardio-pneumologique")
By car: (Coming from Paris) drive through the quays up to Place de Bretagne, take the Quai de Saint-Cast exit on the right, then on the left, Carrefour Jouaust. Drive up Rue de Brest, then take Rue Henri Le Guilloux on your right.
